Self Portrait :: Waiting

December 18, 2020 | By: Alexis McKeown Portrait

It feels like so many of us are fed up, waiting for this year to just end already. Waiting for the moment we can celebrate life with and amongst one another again. I'm trying to use the quiet time at the end of this year (we're under covid lockdown-ish restrictions until mid-January where I live) to do a lot of contemplating. Thinking about what I hope for the coming 'new normal' to look like, and what the past year has taught me... Waiting is not an easy task, is it?

I shared the making-of for this piece in my insta-stories and saved them in the highlights if you wanna see behind the scenes. I am definitely rusty on the self portrait-ing!
